Your “what” is that one amazing thing that you were born to do.
Interior Design is my What.
This I knew at the age of six when I completely redesigned my Aunt Ruth’s formal living room in her Gothic Revival house in Jackson, Mississippi. The room looked pretty, but it just didn’t feel right to me. I still remember the joy I got when the room went from being a room that people looked at, to a room that people lived in. Since then, I have never wanted to do anything other than design. It still gives me that joy.
I have a B.A. Degree in Interior Design, but my most valuable education is learning on the job. Every day. The creative process is one that I share with my clients, it is a two-way street. Their design challenges, conundrums, dreams and desires inspire me. And together, we create an environment that reflects their individuality, their style, not mine.
I love that my clients are different, their budgets are different, their styles and needs are different – whether someone was to refresh a room, or start from the ground up, I approach the task with the same enthusiasm. I am fascinated by texture, color and shape. I love what I do.
My work is based in Atlanta, but I travel frequently and work in New York, London, Las Vegas, really any place that work takes me. Whether I am creating a fun, functional or cozy space in someone’s home, an exciting storefront window that will stop traffic, directing a photoshoot for print or electronic media, my focus is always my client’s goals for that particular project.
I began my professional career in 1993. I have built my business through client referrals only.
I am happy to provide a client list and references -- I will let my work speak for itself. If you would like to work with a designer who is commited to have your project be reflect you – please give me a call. I’d love to work together.
